Porcelain Reloaded

The aim is to get a new perception of porcelain. How can we interact on the way it is produced?

Porcelain is marked with old tradition, so according to porcelain reloaded we aim to remark it with a modern art form.

We connect

Leading to this interpretation of porcelain reloaded, where discussions and a verbal exchange with Erik Vogler, about

todays perception of identity and change of value in the society. This was leading to a discourse about the distance of the

consumer to the Product.

If we want to change the system of how we consume, we have to change the base of work processes and production.

How can we as a designer include a relation of the consumer to the Object?

Making Porcelain is merged to strikt process of physical and chemical change of the material. This plays a big roll in the

interaction with the material. We interfered in the turning process, by extending the tool for turning of material.

The distance to the material is visualizing our leading discussion of the distance of the production and the consumption.

 

The Pictures of the Objects are motion studies of the new turning process.
